BEAUFORT COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL AVIATION ACADEMY

• Beaufort County High School Aviation Academy – A completely free FAA Grant-Funded Opportunity for students residing or attending school in Beaufort County. Students will receive training focused on earning a certificate as either a Private Pilot or Commercial Drone Pilot.

VETS TO DRONES TRAINING PARTNERSHIP

COURSES IN DEVELOPMENT

• Drone Building Workshop: A focused multiday in-person course where students assemble, test, and fly UAVs.
• Pix4Dreact: Online hands-on training in Pix4Dreact, focusing on rapid drone mapping, image processing, and generating actionable maps for emergency response and situational awareness.
• Intro to GIS & Mapping: This course introduces the fundamentals of GIS and mapping, focusing on spatial data, and basic analysis techniques using ArcGIS.
• UAS Operations for First Responders: This course prepares first responders for UAS operations, covering drone deployment, search and rescue, incident response, and situational awareness while emphasizing relevant regulations, laws, and operational procedures.
